I am Sonja Moorethe name and face behind the brand and the mum who allowed herself to follow her dream and create something that sparks joy and brings much-needed inner peace. With one of my children struggling with her mental health, I have witnessed and experienced first-hand just how important honouring ourselves is. Moore Candle Co is more than just a candle company in Sydney; I hope it inspires you to chase whatever brings joy, supports your well-being and makes you sparkle inside.

All of our candles are made from natural, soy wax and lead-free cotton wicks for a longer, cleaner burn.
Yes.
We advise that you trim the wicks to 5mm and ensure they’re upright prior to each new burn.
We aim to ensure all of our candles are as long lasting as possible, however burn times do vary based on a variety of factors including; candle maintenance, the length of each continuous burn time and placement of the candle.

In ideal conditions, our 280g candles may burn for up to 55 hours and 180g candles for up to 35 hours. To get the most out of your candles we always advise that you follow our burning instructions.
Black residue can appear on the inside glass of the vessel if the candle has been burning for a longer period of time and if the wicks are too long. Always ensure your candle wicks are trimmed to 5mm before each burn.
Black residue can easily be removed from the glass with a damp paper towel or cloth.
None of our products are tested on our furry friends!

Candle Care Guide

Thank you for choosing our candle! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please follow these simple Candle care tips.

Getting the Best Burn

– Full Melt Pool: Always let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar during each burn. This helps prevent “tunneling” and ensures an even burn. The time it takes will vary depending on the fragrance and your room conditions.

– Wax Hang Up: It’s normal to see a small amount of wax left on the sides of the jar during the first few burns. Don’t worry—once your candle burns down further, this minimal wax hang-up will melt and catch up, leaving a clean jar.

– Burn Time: For safety, never burn your candle for more than 4-5 hours at a time. After this period, extinguish the flame, let the wax set, and then you can relight it later.

Wick Care

– Trimming the Wick: Before each burn, trim the wick to about 5mm (¼ inch). This prevents excess soot and helps the candle burn cleanly.

– Extinguishing the Flame: To avoid smoke, extinguish your candle by gently dipping the wick into the melted wax using a tool or a wick dipper, then straighten it. This also makes relighting easier next time.

Safety First

– Safe Placement: Always burn your candle on a flat, stable surface away from drafts, open windows and anything flammable.

– Never Leave Unattended: Do not leave a burning candle unattended, and keep out of reach from children and pets.

When to Stop

– Discontinue Use: Stop using the candle when there is about 10mm (½ inch) of wax left at the bottom. Burning it beyond this point can cause the jar to overheat.

Recycling Leftover Wax

– Reuse Wax: Don’t let leftover wax go to waste! Once the candle is completely cool, scrape out the remaining wax and place in an Electric or Tealight Burner to enjoy the last bit of fragrance.

By following these tips, you’ll get the most out of your candle while keeping your home safe. Enjoy the warm glow and wonderful scent!

Reed Diffusers are a great way to add constant fragrance to your home.
The Diffuser Reeds soak up the fragrance oil and disperse the scent into the air.
Diffuser Reeds should be flipped every 1-2 weeks or when you want an extra burst of fragrance.
Always flip Diffuser Reeds over a paper towel so as no oil drips onto your table/surface.
If Diffuser Oil is spilt, please wipe up straight away with a cloth.
Our Reed Diffusers last between 4 – 6 months depending on frequency of reeds being flipped.
